He's NOT An Albeeeeeeeeno!

A rare white koala is found in Australia. The cuteness is, of course, off the charts. If only Steve Irwin were here to see this!

Isn't This The Plot Of, Like, A Hundred Bad Sci-Fi Movies?

This story and this story both being on the same page makes me very, very worried! We're gonna be killed by the space bugs, y'all!

Some Cute To Start The Week Right

1) Pictures of dogs in costumes. I know, I shouldn't encourage the people who dress up their dogs, but... these are so cute!

2) E'erybody, just bounce!

I Get Emails

Once again, I was surprised and delighted (because I'm lame) to be emailed by a very nice gentleman by the name of Chris Williams of EdenFantasys [NSFW]. They came across the blog, saw all the smut around the place, and thought I might give them a link. I looked at the site and really liked what I saw; they have a large selection of toys and I have my eyes on a few of them for myself. Also, I really like the design; it's simple and clean, not lurid like some sites of similar companies are. (I'm such a geek that I look at a sex toy site and comment on the design. I love me.) Check it out.

Just to be clear, I'm not being paid or anything for this. I'm just so easy that a friendly email will get you anything! *LOL*

Gay Pulp

Sure, in the 1960s you mostly had to be in the closet and classified as mentally unstable, but at least you got to read stuff like this!

The Cure For Homosexuality!

Electrodes in the brain! Of course!

Actually, it sounds like all it did was make you horny enough to hump a lamp, not change your orientation. "Nice" try, though, 1950s science!

She's With Charles In The Big Studio In The Sky Now

Game show legend Brett Somers has died. I'm gay, so naturally Match Game, with its bevy of flaming queens and wacky broads, is a favorite. Ms. Somers, and her crazy glasses, will be sorely missed.

The Golden Crane Flies...

Robert Jordan has died. His The Wheel of Time series is what first got me into fantasy fiction in a big way. Though the series has groaned under its own weight for a number of years now, and I can't say I've read the latest ones more out a sense of duty and stubbornness than excitement, it was still a most important influence on my reading life.

On a more personal note, I attended a signing/reading in Philly for the last book, and he was a perfectly charming man with a lovely wife. My condolences go out to her and all his other friends and family.

First Week Review

Well, I survived my first (almost-) full week at the new job. It went pretty well, overall, though I still don't know how long I'm going to stick with it. I'm not actually doing a lot of my job yet because they've been busy this week and can't really train me that much. My feelings throughout the day run the gamut from "Oh my god, I can't stand this, I'm quitting right now!" to "Whatever!" to "I can handle this!" and back again. Everyone is extremely nice, but it's a very... low-energy is the only way I can think to describe it, workplace. There's not a lot of talking or camaraderie, even though the office is very open-plan, which kinda makes me feel exposed and vulnerable. Once I really get into the swing of things, maybe it'll all get better.

Workin' It

My first day was... fine, really. I'm a little ambivalent because I haven't really started doing stuff yet, and might not for a bit, so it's hard to say how the job is. Everyone's very nice there, which is good. Right now, I'd say that I don't think I'm going to be doing this very long, just because I don't think the actual technical writing is really going to be my thing, but we'll see.

First Day Of The Rest Of My Life

I start my new job tomorrow. I'm nervous, of course. (When am I not?) I just hope I don't totally hate it. You'll hear all about it, I'm sure, in a post later. I know you're looking forward to that.

He Can Highlander Me Any Time!

I really don't know what it is, but there's something just inherently sexy about a man in a kilt (soooooooo NSFW). I think it might just be the blood of my (flaming!) Celtic ancestors coursing through my veins. Or maybe it's just the thought of all that easy access.

Something To Ponder

Being gay and being homosexual are two different things. Perhaps that's occurred to every other thinking person, but I had certainly never thought of it like that before. It's a very enlightening distinction, I think, that makes the phenomenon of self-hating closet cases, which I have never fully understood, much more comprehensible.

Puppeh!

I swear to dog, this is exactly what my Dusty looked like! Pugs are funny things: they're really just chill, rather happy dogs, but on the other, their wrinkles and smooshed-in faces make them look so pained and traumatized you just want to hug them. It's all part of their adorability.

A Sad Farewell

Amy bids us adieu for what are, hopefully, bigger, brighter things.

So THAT'S How You Do It!

How to cruise. I've been going about it all wrong for all this time! I need to get my ass to a tap class, stat; my jazz hands are woefully underdeveloped.

The Art Of The Personal Ad

Below are the copy for my personal ads on two popular gay male "dating" sites. As you may have surmised, I don't have much luck with them. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong. So, my legion of fabulous readers (most of whom seem to be gay men, but feel free to comment no matter your sex or orientation), critique!

South Jersey Guy

Looking for guys in the South Jersey area to hang with and more. I start shy, but I'm pretty irresistible once I dazzle you with my unique combination of wit, moxy, and arcane trivia. Physically, I'm 5'10, about 170 pounds, brown/brown. Mentally and spiritually, I'm a nerd, and damn proud of it.

and...

I Am

24 year-old looking for a little fun. I'm 5'10", 170 pounds, and seven inches (cut). Hair and eyes are both brown. Moderately hairy. I start shy, but I'll win you over with my nerditude.

Looking For

Cool guys 24-45. Someone mature and good-humored who knows what they're about would be ideal. Open to all experiences.

Happy Labor Day, Everyone!

So... take the day off? Never really got that (taking a day off of labor to celebrate Labor Day, I mean). Whatever! I'm a committed lazy-ass who thinks it's always a good idea to have a day off.

It Just Makes Me Giggle

I think this post's opening by GayProf is one of the funniest I've ever read on a blog. Every time I read it, I giggle.
