OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, Thundarr the Barbarian is out on DVD! It's really, really sad how excited I am by this news. As long-time readers might be aware, Thundarr is one of the cartoons that elicits nostalgia in me.
Funnily enough, my dad loved it, too, when it had its original run before I was even born. He used to watch it "with" my sister, who really couldn't have cared less, but provided a convenient excuse in that less-enlightened time for an adult man to watch cartoons. I picked it up on its Cartoon Network run, back when they ran all the neat old Hanna-Barbara/Ruby-Spears cartoons. I wanted to be Princess Ariel, of course. I might have had a crush on Ookla, too.
