First Week Review

Well, I survived my first (almost-) full week at the new job. It went pretty well, overall, though I still don't know how long I'm going to stick with it. I'm not actually doing a lot of my job yet because they've been busy this week and can't really train me that much. My feelings throughout the day run the gamut from "Oh my god, I can't stand this, I'm quitting right now!" to "Whatever!" to "I can handle this!" and back again. Everyone is extremely nice, but it's a very... low-energy is the only way I can think to describe it, workplace. There's not a lot of talking or camaraderie, even though the office is very open-plan, which kinda makes me feel exposed and vulnerable. Once I really get into the swing of things, maybe it'll all get better.

There is always something a little sad about a new job. I am not sure why.

Yeah to one week down, though!

Just wait until they get used to having a new guy around. They'll warm up.

GOOD LUCK!

Hang in there. Only time will tell if it's a good fit or not.
