Again?

Oh, dear, the sky is falling. Again. I think this is like the tenth or twentieth "Fiction [by which they mean "literary fiction"] is dying! Publishing is so commercial, now!" screed I've seen in my less than a year of book blog readership. I'm beginning to feel a bit bored of it all.

Truth be told, the publishing industry, especially the "literary" segment, is a rather angsty sector. It's nothing but Sturm und Drang with them. (Must be the artistic temperment.) It's also very snobby. "Nonfiction! Genre! How vuuuuulgar!!!"
