I have no idea what to make of this essay connecting Star Wars, Buddhism, Christianity, and The Da Vinci Code to global capitalism. I don't even really understand it. All I know is you have to read it!
I hate it when people put too much thought into issues. I mean, I get the Star Wars political connection; I even get the Star Wars Buddhism connection, but everything else? Pure crap.
The only "critical" lesson to be drawn from Buddhism's perspective on virtual capitalism is that one should be aware that we are dealing with a mere theater of shadows, with no substantial existence. Thus we need not fully engage ourselves in the capitalist game, but play it with an inner distance.
Ah-ah-ah young Jedi, it seems your Master needs to give you a solid whack with his stick to prevent you from making such assumptions.
